A contract extension was approved for women's basketball coach Carolyn Kieger.

An employee contract was approved for the next athletic director but the name is being withheld until an official announcement and news conference later today.

I wasn't suggesting firing her, I was just questioning why did we add more years to her contact BEFORE we see any level of sustained success. If she doesn't have success at Penn State it just means Penn State will owe her more in the buyout. I said the same thing when Penn State gave Franklin his latest extension. Why?

No accountability. Her teams have regressed in three years. They are horrible to watch. No entertainment value. Same old same old... no accountability. She should have been put on the watch list like a few others. But, no, we will reward her. Pat you have a big f'ing job if you are going to impact this program and win like you say you are here to do. You have 300 employees and 200 coaches for 900 athletes. A thining of the herd is vital in your first year or you will go nowhere
