Yes. Of course, the folks on SEC Nation made a good point about all of this. Maybe it’s spelled out somewhere that I’ve never read, but does the committee select the four BEST teams or the four most DESERVING teams. If it’s the four best teams then there’s no way you can say a Jordan Travis-less FSU squad is better than Texas.

The CFP director explicitly said a few days ago their job is to find the BEST 4 teams and put them in. Deserving is not in their vocab.
