They had too low a pooch punt and TN was about to start at about the 45, which gave them just enough field position with the time remaining to get in range for a FG. They push TN back 10-15 more yards and they probably run out of time.

Same way we blew the momentum from scoring late in 1st half by kicking off out of bounds...thus giving LA Tech field position that allowed them to pin us at the 1 yard line and then get the ball back and score before halftime.

If I were a head coach, since most of these kickers are walk-ons, I'd invite 10 kicker and 10 punters a year to come around until I found at least 1 really good guy at each position and hoped to find a decent backup as well. I'd try like hell to get some former NFL kicker/punter to come coach with me to draw the interest of kids. College games soooo many times come down to kickoffs, FG's and punts as much as anything else and it just seems most coaches don't spend near enough time on it.

So should the punter. Seems like a no-brainer considering how important they are.

UCLA was missing 4 key players on offense. Tennessee "great" offensive line got dominated all night long and their new QB didn't look good at all.</p>
