UConn playing Nova. UConn coach gets a T after complaining of bad call. Turns to crowd and waves his hands to get them fired up. They start to get loud and refs give him a second T and toss him from the game with 4:53 left until half.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach tossed for trying to fire up a crowd before.

Sounds like something that UCONN should ask for a ruling on from the NCAA so that all NCAA officials could be given clarification and it doesn't happen again.

He probably could have picked up the second T several times before he actually did…but poor timing by the ref to show that much restraint, and then suddenly give it.

I watched that game last night. Not sure if Villanova is having a down year or if UCONN significantly improved their team. If they make it in the NCAA tournament they will be a force.

Not a vintage Villanova squad this year.

An interesting aspect of this is that the ref that ejected him, James Breeding, is one of the more highly respected referees out there today. He’s done games in the last two Final Fours. I wouldn’t have expected this sort of situation with someone that experienced.
