Exactly what I'm thinking! I wouldn't be surprised if it were a UF person that contacted the NCAA. Fire the coach, take a postseason ban (hehe), and move on to the next one.

I really don't understand these NCAA issues with Florida State and now Florida. They are being accused (and FSU found guilty of) using NIL as a recruiting inducement. What else could it be when you're offering an incoming freshman NIL money?

"Sign here, and you'll receive this contract for NIL money." How can this transaction ever be anything other than a recruiting inducement?

Presumably NIL is not supposed to be a part of recruitment. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure what there is to enforce, but the lines are so fuzzy. If NIL collectives aren't associated with universities (wink wink) and if players are free to pursue NIL opportunities, I don't know what can be wrong about collectives and recruits working out NIL deal pending their signing with a certain team.
