Do you think either team goes in angry to prove a point? Or is it going to be a battle of the backups once the wave of opt outs commences?

I should have added, I see a large wave of optnouts in FSU's future. Not sure about UGA.

I think they'll have plenty of motivation on both sides, but also plenty of opt outs for the guys that are going in the draft. There's no reason to play in a meaningless exhibition unless you're playing next season.

In the years I’ve lived in Athens, I’ve only pulled for UGA a few times usually against Clemson. On this one I hope they destroy FSU. It’s an ACC put down thing. Given how each programs season ended I think this bowl game will be way above the norm of todays bowls.

I've lost count of the number of times the AAC had more teams ranked in the top 25 at the end of the year compared to the ACC. I almost feel like the ACC champ finally got what they deserved this year. Because of that I say Go Dawgs

FSU is a 13 point dog. FSU didn’t get screwed in the CFP deal…UGA did.

Yep, I said this in another thread. UGA is clearly one of the 4 best teams, in my opinion. I'm not really sure if Texas is. I think they have the strongest teams matched up in the semis, with Bama and Michigan.

Texas beat bama by 10 in their house. All teams get better throughout the year. Saying Texas doesn’t belong while bama does is idiotic.

It follows the flow of the season. It's idiotic to compare that Bama team to the Bama team now. They weren't even settled at QB at that point. Texas didn't seem to get better as the season wore on. They lost to OU, squeaked by Houston, squeaked by K-State, squeaked by a bad TCU. Alabama unquestionably got better against a much tougher schedule.

Bama had their own squeaks like 2 weeks ago against an awful auburn team. Struggled with others as well.

Most teams get a bit of a pass in rivalry games, that's nothing new for anyone who has watched college football (See FSU/UF, Ole Miss/MSU, UGA/GaTech).

It's probably going to be a toss up, either both going in angry and making a real game of it or both not GAS and being the worst scrimmage you ever saw as a bowl game.

I've already heard of quite a few FSU opt outs, but I ma not familiar with the UGA situation.

I already vote that FSU won't take it seriously though.
