Ugh, my Boss concert is postponed

Any of you that have been on the boards for many years know that I'm a big fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

I have tickets for a concert they were slated to give this evening. About 4.5 hours before the concert was supposed to start, I learned of this:




Ugh, Ugh, Ugh. Get better Bruce.

The only upside is that now I get to watch the Media LL team (the PA Champs) in their opening game of the LLWS.

I enjoy his music but I am not a huge fan (I'm a doo-wop guy). That said, and despite my undying love and devotion to my lovely wife, I could listen to Hungry Heart all night.

Magic is definitely an underrated Springsteen album.

Magic is definitely an underrated Springsteen album.

It’s jumped over Darkness for me. I don’t think the best songs on Magic are as good as the best songs on Darkness, but it is a more consistent album for me with only one song that I skip.

4.5 hour notice sucks.

We go see performers from the 60s & 70s and have had similar cancelations when they got sick. Johnny Rivers canceled due to illness and hasn't performed since. Gordon Lightfoot canceled due to illness and he died a few months later.

Bruce is about 8 yrs younger than those guys so hopefully he's OK.
