Can't say I'm not watching, because my team is involved, but it's the NIT. You have to be pretty hardcore to watch NIT games not involving your school.

It's either that or MLB. I choose the former.

Good point. This is the part of the year that sucks if you're a sports fan. When college basketball ends, there really isn't much else. NBA playoffs are too long and get boring, at least for me. Hockey is well...hockey. And MLB doesn't really get good until the fall, and by then college football has started, so who gives a **** about MLB at that point?

sport in town and even then its the Masters, US Open, and PGA. Unless MSU is in the Final 4....NOT, CWS....Usually not or gone in 2nd round, ....or a Cards fan.......NOT in 07 or 08 doesnt look like........1st game of college football where we get blown out 40 something to 0 is about all we have to look forward to!

Exactly. Of course I watched all of our games last year, but as soon as that last second WVU shot fell the NIT was over for me. Today I have no idea if WVU went on to win the championship or even who they played. I can name only 5 teams who even played in last year's NIT. MSU, Miss. Valley, Bradley, Florida St. and West Virginia.

That said, congratulations on making the semi-finals.</p>

That's my biggest problem with MLB. The season is too long. If I had my way, they'd play their final games of the regular season around the end of July/first of August. Then I'd have the playoffs occur throughout the month of August. Typically the pennant races don't get exciting until late August, early September, and by then I'm so immersed in college football, even if my team sucks, that I really don't pay that much attention to MLB races or the playoffs.

Ending the season 2 months earlier would mean a roughly 100-110 game season. The positive of this is that every game would mean more, and conversely, you wouldn't lose a lot of your fans during the middle of the season. The excitement of opening day and the early season games would transition quickly into the excitement of pennant races. Besides that, it would make it tougher for teams like the Red Sox and Yankees to dominate. A key injury or two or a bad early season slump could keep them out of the playoffs. Teams like the Blue Jays would have more of a chance on occasion. It'll never happen, but that's my ideal scenario for MLB.
