UMich "Big House" and expanded capacity

spent this week up in our Michigan offices and one of the staff there is flaming wolverine. She was talking about how they are stressing about plans to modernize the stadium, and possibly lose the # of seats. one of her co-workers (a Sparty) said that all the expansions were with paint as in painting more seats and no construction. I said to my knowledge that PSU expansions were construction projects. kicked off a wild funny debate.

one person ended it by showing that the avg airplane seat is now like 3" narrower than from 40 years ago, but people are not smaller.

Yes any time I’m on a plane I pray to sit by a Carrie Underwood type. I end up sitting by Norm and Cliff, but less funny.
