Poz and Lee are obvious ones that come to mind first.

I’ll add Nassib, DaeSean Hamilton, Austin Johnson, and Adrian Amos. Pretty sure all these guys are still playing on Sundays.

I still remember when PSU got a commitment from Austin Johnson. The message boards were in a meltdown. Everyone was underwhelmed by the commitment. I guess Joe and LJ knew what they were doing.

I'll second that. If I recall from the interview that was posted the other day, Penn State was his only offer. Not his only D1 offer....his only offer period.
Correct. Bradley drove in a snow storm to watch him play basketball. Joe didn’t want him. Bradley talked him into it. Joe told him if he didn’t pan out it was on him.

You could name half of the 2014 class for this

Cabinda, Campbell, Oruwariye, Haley, McSorely, Scott certainly could all fit into this list. Brown was solid before his injury. Mark Allen played a lot of football for PSU as well. Wright was a multi-year starter, maybe not a great player but certainly held his own. All of these players were outside of the top 500 in the composite rankings and make significant impacts for PSU.

Reeder was in this class as well but transferred before making an impact for PSU.

Have to put Curt Warner in that group. He came from Pineville, WV from a school of less than 400 students. His own English teacher had to send clippings and letters to colleges to even get any attention for her son. Joe Paterno even admitted that Curt was not on their radar until these clippings came to his attention when she mailed them to PSU. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1985-09-07-sp-6801-story.html

Jordan Hill took over the second half of the 2013 Wisky game like nothing I’ve ever seen before. He was a beast.
I think you might be thinking about 2012 in the Beav, he did take that second half over.
