On3 previously reported on Nov. 14 that Michigan offered him a four-year, $10.5 million NIL deal in an attempt to flip his commitment to the Tigers.

It’s easy to take joy in Kelly’s/LSU’s demise, but it’s shameful this is what it’s come to. A kid, who otherwise would have gone to LSU for non-money reasons, flips to a new school just because of money.

Of note, Dave Portnoy had recently just publicly committed to giving Michigan $3 million a year for NIL to help them have a quality quarterback every season.

I would be very interested to know if this kid ever gets his entire $10 million from Michigan (or other kids similarly situated at other schools, for that matter). We'll probably never know in most cases, but I get the sense that a lot of people are promising kids and parents a lot of things that will never be delivered.
