I cannot find it in my heart to blame today's performance on coaching.

My son played on a 6-A Alabama HS team, Grissom. They were pretty decent when he was there, 6 plus years ago.

I never witnessed such a demonstration of multiple errors in a single game at that level as I saw today from our dawgs.

The coaches weren't the ones committing the errors.

Sorry if I hurt the feelings of any players who read this board, but this season's thankfully over.
I hope the next one finds us returning to Hoover, and perhaps Omaha.

Thanks for the good years, Ron Polk. It's over for you too. Enjoy the history of your successes, and enjoy retirement. Hope to join you soon, in that venue. Thanks for the memories.

Honestly, that was probably the worst played game by two teams that I have ever seen in my life. You had it all- No one could throw strikes, the pitching was bad, the hitting was bad, we scored runs playing Raffo ball and just walking, the defense was so bad that a routine play looked like a Web Gem on Baseball Tonight, and then you had the baserunning blunders. Just God awful.

The only positive thing that I took out of this game is that I will never have to watch these two teams play again.

Ryan Duffy looked like he was trying to play catcher on skates, and sadly if he had he may not have played so poorly.

Jet Butler played second base the worst I have ever seen it played in my entire life- not an exagerration. Rogers Hornsby's ghost is probably pretty pissed off at him right now.

Tyler Moore also deserves mention for dropping balls and then the ill advised cut off which he compounded by gunning the ball into CF.

If I was smart I would have left after the Ron Polk "highlight video" because I just wasted four hours and seven minutes of my life that I will never get back.

This was only the second or third time i have seen them play (on TV)........and i swear this team has gotten worse each time i have seen them.........Duffy needs to be punched in the throat for some of those stupid *** throws he made today (it was so bad, toward the end of the game he was too damn scared to throw the ball because he knew it was going to sail on him); State has the slowest middle infield with the least range, hell there are some high school teams whose middle infield has more range than the guys we have.......what this team needs is someone who is going to come in here and whip their *** into shape; cause they dont look like baseball players.....alot of em look overweight and lazy...........

This where the strength and conditioning will come in. I didn't notice guys being overweight so much as out of shape. And being lazy is about attitude. That's where the new coach will come in. (Hopefully)</p>
