Hud didnt win an NC there, but they were regulars in the quarter and semifinals his last few years there. they havent won a national title since they 3-peated in i think 94 95 96 or somewhere around there, but yes they have made a home as a top 5 program in D2

They're already losing the Arkansas colleges to a new Arkansas-Oklahoma conference. That'll leave them with 4 football playing schools.

Do they make the move up to D-I? I think their baseball team would actually be pretty respectable in D-I. They might have a couple of down years, but I think in about two years or so, they would be pretty good.

I would love to play them in baseball. I went to the last MSU/DSU game in 1997 when Polk won his 1,000 game or whatever, and it was one of the most fun non-conference games I have ever been to.

...because their student-athletes have to meet the same standards as Mississippi's Division I schools.

I would say Delta State to the Southland but they'd be by far the smallest school in the conference. It's a haul but I think they'd be a better fit in the Southern.
