Shipley Field was built in 1954. The facility, like Maryland baseball, was an afterthought for most of the ensuing decades.
Those outfield bleachers were added for the regionals.

Terps are competing directly with pro sports in the DC area. Nice to see them taking baseball seriously. Still sorry they left the ACC.
