Probably not. I remember when I was a student a few years ago I also wanted to see if I could get onto the field. Literally did just about the same thing. Wish I had the foreknowledge to make a YouTube series out of it.

There are many access points, and with work going on, it isn't surprising one would be open someplace during working hours. Probably need a couple of roving security people - one to spot him, one to catch him, and both to throw his butt over the rail.

When I was a student I took a girl from Chapel Hill into the stadium some random spring night through the South End Zone. We went right onto the field. We consecrated the lower west concourse standing against a concrete pillar. It was 2004 so I did not capture video of the field or the consecration.
