We sit at 19th. A win over Vanderbilt, with no other results considered, could move us to 17th.

Biggest impact games besides ours, in order:

LSU over South Carolina
Murray State/UIC loser over Indiana State
Arizona State over Oregon State
Wichita State over East Carolina
Central Florida over Oklahoma State

There are others, of course, but these are the big five. We win, plus go 5-for-5 in these games, and we are 14th.

The Vanderbilt game tonight is probably more critical to our-end-of-year RPI than many might realize. If we win tonight, it guarantees we only take a single loss in Hoover at most. If we lose tonight, we are taking 2 losses unless we win the whole thing.

A 19 rpi at present gives us a strong case. But if we go 0-2 or 1-2 from this point on at Hoover, I think we are back in the 22-25 range, which is a negative on our hosting case. A win tonight and we oughta stay in the Top 20 at the end.

Good point. Auburn hosted last year with an RPI of 19 on selection Sunday.

I have a hard time seeing MSU as a 2 seed with a W tonight.

Missouri sits at RPI 101 currently. If stuff happens and moves them up a spot or someone else below them, that loss will move to quad 3 instead of quad 4. Home games become quad 4 at RPI 101.

Worth watching.

Not that it really matters, but quick look at their RPI impact sheet shows there's a pretty good chance they could move up to #100. Regardless, it's ridiculous to put a loss to them in the same category as a loss to Alcorn St. in the first place.

Iowa was 98 RPI, but just lost to Illinois and fell to 101.
Missouri is now up to No. 100 thus eliminating one of our Q4 loses (for the time being at least)

I hope it continues. That's not insignificant. Several of the committee members are going to look at Q1 and Q4 records. 4 losses are bad enough. 5 losses jumps off the page when the people you are competing with have 0 to 2 losses.
