I think we have to go 7-0 to get to Hoover, making us 14-16 overall.
6-1 and 13-17 might get us there, depending on what happens elsewhere.

the 9th place team has 11 wins and we have 7- there is absolutely no 17'ing chance we go to Hoover. None. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

Anybody talking about any chance of making Hoover is just stupid. We were done 3 weeks ago.

But oh what the hell.......

MSU has one chance - Kentucky and Tennessee play each other next weekend --- the loser of that series needs to lose today, lose that series next week and lose their Week 10 series (UK hosting Ole Miss and Tennessee goes to South Carolina) --- if that happens then MSU would actually get in with a 5-2 record the rest of the way (if that team is Tennessee) or 6-1 (if that team is Kentucky) based on the tie-breakers

Now that being said, please note that if the tournament began JOHN COHEN WOULD AGAIN (4th time in 5 years) not be in the SEC TOURNAMENT .... I want our next coach to be able to.........oh never mind

for the 8th slot with TN....and they are a whopping one game out of the tie for the 4th best record in the conference.

And if the season ended today, they'd more than likely be headed to the 6th regional in the history of KY baseball, 2 of which were brought to you by John Cohen. He has signed a top 15 recruiting class for next year. I think the guy is doing a whale of a job up there.

However, the fifth tie-breaker puts Tennessee 8th and Kentucky 9th

Now that changes next weekend when the teams play one another

that it takes a 5th tiebreaker at this point to really get any sort of knock in on cohen. And actually, it appears that KY would go b/c the 2nd tiebreak is win loss percentage within the division and currently, KY's is better than TN

I like Cohen

I was making fun of the sheep who don't want Cohen because they feel like he has not won enough at UK

I apologize for joking - I was not meaning to take a shot at Cohen

you dont' have to apologize for joking but you are a staunch polk supporter......and usually those people make themselves feel better about Polk's crippling of our program by taking shots at Cohen.

LSU is about to sweep. They just hit a 2 out 2 run homer in the 9th to take the lead. Beware of the Tigers..they may be back before we ever hoped.
