Founders Park is a unique baseball facility that I truly like. Has grass on the infield and outfield, real dirt as well, no advertising signs on the outfield walls (that at some schools make it look like a USSA softball facility). Also the sight lines are really good, has good concessions, clean restrooms. Everything is top of the line as it was when it was built. Listening to 107.5 they mentioned that a lot of schools have really made their baseball facilities look really good as they have spent tremendous amounts of money on their baseball stadiums. Tennessee is spending over $200 m on Lindsey Nelson stadium, Mississippi State has really spent a lot of money on Dudy Noble Field. It has been suggested that we need to make some minor updates to Founders Park to keep up with the arms race. What those updates would be is a question to me. I don't know what they would be but it has been suggested we need to make some minor updates to keep up with the arms race. Right now with all the things going on I don't know where the money would come from since all the schools are paying NIL and everything else. I still think Founders Park is an elite baseball facility but needs some minor updates to keep up with the rest of the conference. This is just my humble opinion nothing else. I would say right like lot of schools the funds are really tight to spend on facilities. Just what I heard on 107.5 with them talking about the baseball stadiums in the SEC.

Founders Park was the best in the nation when it was built. It’s still really great. Most of these schools spending huge amounts of money are trying to fix their existing facilities to get near what we already have.
Mississippi State is an exception. Baseball is very important to them and they put in a ton of work to build their ballpark to a higher quality than most minor league stadiums. Don’t know what Tennessee is planning with $200 million, but by and large most teams are replacing grandstands, adding luxury seating, adding ops buildings or indoor training areas which are all things that we already have.
I love Founders Park. Only thing I would start to change is by doing something on the 3rd base side. Either add more boxes or more seating. 1st base side has the Perch. Otherwise, our stadium fits the SC fanbase’s immediate needs pretty well.

Never was a fan. Wish it was more of a pitcher's field than a hitter's. Perhaps we'd be more inclined to be a better situational type hitting team. If I were to change anything, I'd add at least 10 ft to it's depth... or more

380 to center always did seem really short.

Left Field Bleachers need to be upgraded and integrated with the Tables/Dining section on the 3B Foul Line. Turn that into something like the "Chophouse" in ATL. Extend the Suites & Premium seating on the 1B side.

There are upgrades coming. Right now the athletic department is finishing up the W-B improvents. This is the one thing Tanner has been wanting to do and one of the primary reasons his contract was extended for 2 years instead of four.....Tanner simply wanted enough time to get those improvements completed.

Leave the left field bleachers intact and do the condo thing in right.

And add a visitors dressing room.
If they leave them I think they need to be upgraded from metal bleachers. Not sure if there's enough room in right with the road right there?

It's 390 center field, 380 power alleys,and 325 down both lines
I appreciate the clarification. It's all good except for center field. I favor something deeper to straightaway centerfield. LSU is 405 ft. Texas is 400 ft. To be fair, total outfield area is about the same as ours.

What is left to be finished at Williams-Brice?

At least the seats/benches have backs. But yeah, individual chairbacks is a good idea.

Not sure. Last I heard was from early in the year that improvements had started. Don’t remember what they were or the completion date.

Best improvement to Founders Park would be to return a Gamecock team which is the well-coached, competitive and fundamentally sound with a ''win anyway'' attitude to the field.
