USC / Cal in a nightcap…

You might recognize this Cal defense, but not in a good way..

I'm watching, but only because USC is my second team. Otherwise it's a meaningless game between two bad teams. I remember back in the Pete Carroll/Jeff Tedford days when this was one of the Games of the Year in the PAC, and had national implications.

Well Riley, the magnitude of what you face should be absolutely evident now. This is the worst USC team in perhaps living memory. They absolutely suck.

I had it pointed out to me that the Los Angeles area had as high a population...

..as the Southeastern United States (Los Angeles higher than that if you take out Florida). Riley will be able to tap into that, as well as his connections in Texas and Oklahoma.

Google put LA metro at 13.2m and Southern Cal at 23.9. Guess it depends on how you define the southeast, but Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Alabama alone have higher population than Southern California. Add in MS, FL, Louisiana, and any part of Texas and you’re much higher. Still a lot of people in LA, though
