Generally yes. Saxton was elected captain her sophomore season with Ty. I mean you couldn’t elect Kiki as co-captain but the team would have followed her any where. Saxton was then elected a captain every year. Probably the only athlete at USC to be a 4 time captain. I know she was a leader but there were plenty of other leading voices on the team.

Every team needs different voices at different times in the year. What is death is if those voices are leading in different directions. T’ea Cooper is the ultimate bad example of that in Gamecock land. Very good player, horrible teammate and leader. Dawn will still not speak her name.

We’ll have plenty of leaders. Breezy, Raven, Feagin, Ashlynn and even the freshman Malaysia. I think one of the other freshman from Minnesota will prove to be a leader. Also Chloe. I think we’ve got a team full of leaders.
