Another really good team this year for Staley... that being said, UCLA is a much better team this year and not a good matchup for SC.

More in line with how things ought to be. They let that little overrated girl on her third school get 21 points, but of course, she was the one TCU was looking to offensively.

Defense was impressive but I still worry about teams with dominant ''bigs'' taking away or neutralizing our strengths.

We're definitely missing/going to miss having a dominant big ourselves. Hopefully Tac can grow into that role quickly!

I don't know about quickly. We need to get her contributing meaningfully as soon as possible, though.

They are better equipped with "bigs" than we are, and why did we let that happen? I was dismayed by that loss, not the loss itself but the magnitude of it.

Some of the player rotations, one in particular, were a mystery to me, given the circumstances. We went 3,000 miles not to compete on national television, which was a disappointment to me. The conduct of the game by our staff was a mystery me to me.

That said, since we are in a better place than we were, I'd be pleased to play them again at crunch time on a neutral court. I also understand that our own league is very tough, and there are several tests yet to take and to pass - not to mention UConn in January.
