If it didn't involve BYU I would be more skeptical of what he's saying.
Wasn’t the worst call I’ve ever seen but wasn’t a good call by any means.
You must've seen the BYU game about 20 years ago. That was the most egregious failure to enforce holding that I've ever seen. They do indeed have a history.
That’s a very marginal call. Not awful, but you could make that call a dozen times per game, easy.
Yep. That call gets made and missed often. Not sticking my neck out on that one. I'd ***** on a message board about it for a week though...
It was a bit of a ticky tack call, but the whiny Utah AD conveniently forgot about a phantom facemask call on a third down sack that kept a Utah drive alive in the first half which resulted in a touchdown. Guy made a fool of himself over a call that was technically correct, if a bit ticky tack. Utah scored 0 points in the second half, which is the real reason they lost.
That remains the worst officiating in a half that I’ve ever seen in my life.

That was THE worst officiated college football I’ve ever seen.
I was on the field for that game and I’m surprised JWS didn’t get tossed for the way he was yelling at the refs but he had every right to be livid!
