Vandy Game 1 Thread

This is the first game all year it looked like one of our objectives was to protect the plate. Gotta say for the most part, they have done a heck of a job on that tonight.
We have really squared up some pitches tonight. The Vandy mistakes are not being missed. Impressive hitting throughout the lineup.
Did this game not make it on to ESPN Plus tonight? I kept checking for the link to come up but it never has.
Sloppy play from Lecroy allows the runner to advance to 3rd and scores on the sac fly. 13-5 now with 1 out and a runner on 2nd here in the bottom of 7.
I assume that was the case but it is not coming up on my phone app like every other game does.

14-6 final. Cocks go to 10-2 in SEC and 30-4 overall.
Vandy had the #5 lowest ERA in the country so their pitching is not chopped liver. Impressive performance by us including our pitchers.
Most runs Vandy's given up in a game this year.
Bottom of our line up scored 4 runs and had 7 RBI's - keep that up and we will be trouble for everybody.
And the runs scored would be much higher if that dang one spot would stop giving us trouble. Been that way all year no matter who we put there. Crazy

Wimmer was 0-5 last night but hits better when not in #1 spot!
Totally agree. Hasnt been the same after moving from the 2 spot.

I hear ya. Not sure either. First thought would be try Brewer and just switch him with Wimmer... see what happens.
Heard mention recently that Braswell was our best contact hitter. Cant remember if it was an announcer or a coach that said that. Must admit I was a little surprised to hear that but if that's truely the case, he should be considered.
Agree, think I would try the Brewer/Wimmer switch and see what happens.
I would go with brewer! Not the greatest avg .269, but get’s his walks and hbp with a .425 ob% and has some speed.
