I hear ya. Not sure either. First thought would be try Brewer and just switch him with Wimmer... see what happens.
Heard mention recently that Braswell was our best contact hitter. Cant remember if it was an announcer or a coach that said that. Must admit I was a little surprised to hear that but if that's truely the case, he should be considered.
It will be nice when we get McGillis back. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off without too much rust. He's another good option in that leadoff spot.

I cant like your post enough.
Mic dropper there!
Appreciate it, don’t get that much in this room! To your braswell point, i like him down in the order, less pressure on him there, he’s a little twitchy after his hot start and slump last year, plus he strikes out too much for a leadoff guy!

I hear ya, as I said Brewer would be my first choice. Mentioned Braswell mainly to say some kinda change should be made. I agree tho. I'd prefer giving him a little more time if we were to make a move like that... I mean he just made it back on the field not long ago. If he keeps up his improvement I'd push a little harder for him. He'd probably get an extra at bat. But we do imo need to make a change now. Brewer all the way.

Another thing I'll say about Braswell is he's been really hard to read lately. Maybe he's in some kinda transition? Like you say, he'll look really twitchy most at bats... but wont in others. One at bat he'll come out of his shoes pulling everything on every pitch and others he'll hit an outside pitch to the opposite field. I never know what we are going to get... but I will say the fact he looks good sometimes with his approach is showing improvement. Hopefully we'll see more of it.

Confidence is a major factor as a hitter and he seems to to gaining some. Last night was a major step for him as he was fired up!

Yep, before McGilis went down I was spitballing to a friend that we need to find some way to get braswell on the field more, can he play outfield, that got shot down pretty quickly, but I can't remember a kid that has hit the ball to all fields with some pop in a long time,
i just wanted to see more of that than just in a pinch hit or weekday role. Game time Go Cocks!
