Not only did the runner leave before the ball was caught. We had one runner pass another between 1st and 2nd
Yea, the run would count in that instance and the trailing runner out though, not a dp.
Assuming it was not a catch, anyway.
I don't think the ball hit the wall but idk. If it didn't, the runner at 3rd def left early
I agree, was just playing devil's advocate on why the confusion.
Need an explanation and a score please.
If it was a catch, he definitely left third too early.
Wish I could tell you. Looks like we got screwed. Like I said, we ought to be playing under protest for that garbage.
They ruled it a single. Said it was not a catch. I don’t know how we got 2 outs if it wasn’t a catch.
Exactly the point. The call was wrong one way or the other.
We’ve had 1 hit since the 1st inning. Not a recipe for success.
Double steal and Vandy is a hit away from opening this thing up.
We might have gotten a bad break in the last at bat as their RF makes a catch tumbling over the wall and our bullpen was immediately signaling the ball hit the ground. Replay never showed.
And an infield single makes it 7-4. A $hitty infield single too.
Sac fly and it’s 8-4. I was thinking it was 2 outs already but I guess the DP was last inning. Checked out.

Only thing I can think of it when we tagged 3rd it got the runner out that should have advanced from 2nd. The other out came from when the batter passed the runner that was at 1st down the base path leading to 2nd.
Bottom of 7th….Dumbass no challenge at first by Kingston. Replay showed pitcher stepped on first prior to runner. Ref called runner safe. Easy challenge and it would have been out 2. Instead we don’t challenge and they get a hit and score whereas we would’ve gotten the third out on the pop fly and save the run. It would be 7 to 4 instead of eight. Oh, well, I guess it only matters if we lose by one run. But I am amazed we did not challenge a clear out.
