Maybe I'm just being a sheep, but I really think that if Jamont comes out now, his best chance is to make a roster as a 2nd round draft pick for league minimum money. And that's his best case scenario. Worst case is Mario Austin II. His only chance at 1st round guaranteed 7-figure money is to come back to school and improve enough to be a 1st round pick. Again, that's a best case scenario, but if it doesn't work out he'd be no worse off next year than he is this year.
And I think Jamont's smart enough to realize that his only chance at the big payoff is to come back to school (or wait until he can become a free agent if he leaves now). That's why he pulled out of the draft early last year. To keep his options open this year. I agree with TR. I think our chances of keeping Jamont for 1 more year are 50/50.
