Stop looking at porn
You blow this off, but actually it’s a great idea. Be careful of “questionable” websites.

Best option is to have a great backup that you can reinstall over any issues.

I switched to a Mac a year ago (wanted to learn how to use it) and that is also an option. (steep learning curve for me…)

Use your computer for important stuff and get a tablet for all your social media/questionable websites.

Lastly: Norton 360

My computer hardly ever leaves my desk at my contracted worksite. I may not even need virus protection, but its like insurance right?

I started to believe the anti-virus stuff was actually a virus. It keeps your stuff busy so the virus can't attach.....in my simplest of layman thoughts.
Microsoft comes with virus protection software which is actually pretty good, especially for most people. And yeah, most of the other software will bog down your computer to some extent. I quit using virus software several years ago and rely on Windows Defender. Have fewer problems this way than I did with the virus software.

This is the truth. Anti-virus is not needed these days. Just use windows defender and a good adblocking plugin for your browser like Ublock Origin. Use common sense and you will never get a virus.

I can go back to watching porn instead of reading goats posts.
