I started to believe the anti-virus stuff was actually a virus. It keeps your stuff busy so the virus can't attach.....in my simplest of layman thoughts. My computer hardly ever leaves my desk at my contracted worksite. I may not even need virus protection, but its like insurance right?
Microsoft comes with virus protection software which is actually pretty good, especially for most people. And yeah, most of the other software will bog down your computer to some extent. I quit using virus software several years ago and rely on Windows Defender. Have fewer problems this way than I did with the virus software.I started to believe the anti-virus stuff was actually a virus. This is the truth. Anti-virus is not needed these days. Just use windows defender and a good adblocking plugin for your browser like Ublock Origin.
