As an assistant coach in October, while still playing in the WNBA. This is actually kinda cool. The college and pro seasons don't overlap and it's possible to do both. I wonder if there are other WNBA players on college staffs in their pro offseason. I imagine it would be pretty cool to have a current pro player recruiting you to come their alma mata.

This is cool. There is less money to be made for women's basketball players, so being able to earn money in the offseason while continuing to play professionally probably allows them to play longer.

And sets them up to be successful as a coach after retirement. It's a brilliant idea.
