Volleyball finally gets ranked. Comes in at 24th

Thoughts:

Its about a month too late, but this is a big deal for the girls. First time ever being ranked in volleyball. I feel like from 16 down, State could beat. We played Georgia Tech early in the season and got smoked. We probably could keep it closer now, but Georgia Tech is really good.

RPI is 22. Auburn won't help that Friday but we are going to be in the discussion to be one of the 16 hosts for the first two rounds. Ultimately, just like this poll, I think they will pass on us as a host. We will end up being a 2 seed at an ACC or Big 12 host.

Given the remaining schedules, Kentucky has two remaining matches this weekend against #20 Florida at Home, while MSU has one remaining game against Auburn.

IF we were to win -and- Kentucky drops 1 of the 2 matches; then it appears MSU and Kentucky would be tied for 1st [16-2].
IF we were to win -and- Kentucky drops 2 of the 2 matches; then it appears MSU and Florida would be tied for 1st [16-2].

I suppose either way, we'd hoist a SEC Championship Banner?

Getting the SEC Champ Banner (along with the first ever NCAA Tourney Banner) would be beyond incredible.

Now going way too far ahead; but imagine if they won the Natty right? Women's Volleyball getting one before Women's Basketball...would be surreal.
