Thanks, I jumped on Norton, they had a free 7 day trial, like I said I have it on, but when I log into MLBtv app and try to watch a game they still have me blacked out

Are you setting your VPN for a location that isn’t blacked out?

Norton as a security software is good for initial service, but combine this with Malwarebytes for your personal computing security and info. However, Norton is -- not good enough -- as a VPN simply because they always have a popup ad for more costly services.

Use Nord VPN, as a low cost very effective way to hide your identity and your location. They have server locations around the world for any country you might visit, as well as NordLocker (password security) for all of your documents and also additional password protection, if needed.

Having been in this business for too many years -- computer security is paramount and a VPN is absolutely necessary -- good luck.

Agreed. I use IPVanish. Love it. Used in Iraq, Afghanistan and Jordan. That said, for simple IP obfuscation to get around a blackout, Norton should be fine.

@NittanyBuff you said you had it set to Canada. Where in Canada? Canada blacks out 4 different teams depending on wheee you are. Who were you trying to watch? Next time I’d try to move your VPN location around to see if you are just getting hung up by MLBs ridiculous blackout rules

Too bad Obliviax didn't make the move to this board. He always had pretty good insights into these things.

Is it possible that the MLBtv app has gotten smart enough to recognize when someone is trying to use a VPN and is able to still block you?

Gotcha. There are IPTV options out there that show any and all live sports. I’m in NC and I watch all the Penn state, eagles, flyers and Phillies games. You CAN record, but I’ve never ventured down that rabbit hole. I pay 11$ a month (in crypto) for everything, plus all movie channels, PPV, network channels….. might be an option. DM me if you want to know more
