I hope I an not jinxing our softball team but, our softball team so far is having phenomenal season in not walking the opponent. So far MSU is walking less than 1 batter per 7 innings. I think think they have undergone a change in pitching philosophy with a new pitching coach. Also the defense seems to be better and perhaps the pitchers are more confident throwing strikes and pitching to contact though the strikeout stats are down a bit 6.5 per 7 innings in 2024, 7.4 strikeout in 2023. Hope this continues into SEC play.

2 batters and it 1-0 State already. SEC grind will be tough but this team is a post season squad that can do damage.

The pitching has been pretty damn impressive. Outside of Oklahoma, I think I calculated 23 runs given up in 15 games. Just some decent offense in those other two losses and this team is 15-1 with only a loss to the juggernaut.
