get drafted but apparently Rhodes can't. I would take Charles LONG before I would take a chance on Walter Sharpe.

In the NBA draft it is all about up-side.

Crazy that Sharpe could go above J-Money and C-Rhodes...

I still think C-Rhodes has the best shot in the NBA.

There's no doubt Sharpe has NBA talent. Not star talent mind you, but useful reserve kind of talent. Regardless any team that does background check information would be crazy to draft him as he's clearly a headcase.

I'm not sure about Rhodes. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him have a 5-6 year NBA career and likewise really wouldn't surprise me if he never tasted a day in the league. He does some things pretty darn well, but has some weaknesses. He might have to be a Mikki Moore type player. Mikki as I recall spent about 3 years toiling in the d-league but always played hard and has now been in the NBA for a couple of years as a decent sub big-man.

pretty sure nobody has him going ahead on Jamont, but still...its nuts that someone would actually take a chance on him in the draft.
hell, let him be a FA signon for the summer league or something. i know 2nd round picks are when teams take chances and all, but at least make it a good one.

if he is drafted at this spot, he would actually go higher than Roberts went.

athletic dept that he was by far the best talent we have had in the last few years but a total head case. a real nut job.

His footwork was amazing as a freshman in limited (by his own idiocy) minutes. On the rare occasions he played that year, he played really well. Had he gotten his act together, focused on what he was doing, and gotten more experience he would have been an absolute star in this conference. Unfortunately Sharpe was a moron. He's getting looks now because of that tremendous upside. You just don't see many big men with that kind of natural talent come along every day. If you could have put Lawrence Roberts' heart, work ethic, and character into Sharpe's body, man what he could have done here.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict his character isn't going to get him into the NBA either.

I guess Seattle's GM did not read your post...
Maybe I do know what I am talking about.....
Another great talent that Stans failed to keep in S-Vegas..

Jamont is now on Jay's top six of best available..
He should go here in the second round, maybe J-Money is not as good as he thinks he is...

I still say Jamont has a better chance of playing in the NBA than Sharpe does. The Pistons made the worst pick of the draft.

read the post again. i said nobody had him ahead of Jamont. and at the time, that was correct. none of the mocks had him ahead.
