Want to be a pirate?

There is a tradition for MIT students who complete fencing, archery, sailing and pistol-shooting through their athletic department to give a certificate ‘to be a pirate’. I am surprised that Coach Leach didn’t get his certificate. I suppose he spent enough time at Captain Tony’s in Key West to qualify as an apprentice pirate in training or maybe a full-fledged pirate.
