His assessment of our OL play:

“I know the narrative might be the offensive line struggled. The offensive line played their butts off tonight. All the gurus out there that want to break down the video, the offensive line played pretty good.
It’s easy to say the offensive line struggled. No, the offensive line did a lot of really good things and played physical as heck.”

He could not have been watching our game.

Coachspeak.

One can only hope he doesn't think this way behind closed doors.

Does Teasley have some blackmail material on Beamer or something? Is Beamer just afraid to hurt Teasley's feelings?

Even last year, he was extremely reluctant to give a fair assessment of OL play.

Has to be reverse psychology as a motivator or it does look stupid.

As my high school football coach used to say, "If he has a brain, he'd be dangerous".

It only makes him sound stupid, though.
He sounds like Kamala. Idiotic word salad BS. I didn't watch the second half and may not watch another game this year. They are terrible and boring. I never liked his hire or Tanner's. Unfortunately, I've been proven correct.

How much is the buyout? For the love of god please hire someone with experience this time. No more doing this on the cheap. Increase the recruiting budget 2 fold and hire an offensive wiz with an open checkbook to bring in assistants. It will pay for itself.

Giving him a huge raise based on two fluke wins was the height of stupidity. You can't blame him for taking the money.

As long as the fans keep sending in the checks Tanner will assume they are happy.

Detached from reality!! Shane they got pushed around all night by an inferior team with d lineman that we had 30-50 pounds on across the board. The offensive line was pathetic and scored an F sorry!!

Actually, I thought USC ran the ball well... receivers missed blocks. Play-calling was good. The plays were there, but Sellers either made a lot of bad passes or simply didn't go through his progressions to check down. Now, the pass blocking was pretty bad, but run blocking seemed OK. To me, it was mostly Sellers looking like a rookie (and bad pass protection)

When it took 3 plays to gain 3 yards I knew our run blocking was far from OK. Against a Sun Belt team.

After rushing for an average of 80 yards per game last year, USC ran for more than twice that on Saturday. There were plays when ODU knew what USC was going to do and stuffed them a couple of times, but I still thought it was better. If USC couldn't run, they would have been dead because Sellers couldn't find an open receiver or make easy 8-15 yard throws for some reason. Hope it gets better or that will be one of the very few Ws this year.

Just wait for when the fans stay away in large numbers. That day is coming sooner, than later.

I missed the victory formation fiasco, changed to another game. I thought I heard 10 TFL before I flipped channels. Do they really count kneel downs as TFL?
Yes, kneel downs are officially TFLs... and if I remember it right, on one or two of them, Sellers stepped back a few yards to take more time off the clock, thus subtracting from the overall rushing total and yards per carry total.

Yeah, I had just Googled it. Counts as a team loss with no credit for a tackle. 8 TFL against a SBC team still seems quite embarrassing to me.
