@Midnighter and @LionJim specifically asking both of you....

Wanted to get my bro and SIL a gift card for restaurant, but not sure of specific ones (both have dietary restrictions, so I don't want to make that choice).

Was looking at the Jose Andres group of restaurants, and wanted to know your thoughts on any of these

China Chilcano
Jaleo
Oyamel
Zaytina
barmini and minibar by Jose Andres
The Bazaar

Give me your thoughts on this option, or if you know if another restaurant grouping in the DC area that would be appropriate.

The plan this year was to not give gifts, but as usual, I am the only person that followed that rule, so I have to scramble and salvage what I can. I gave them a gift card a few years ago and they enjoyed the evening out, but I cannot remember the name of the restaurant grouping.

Your help is appreciated.

All the Jose Andres restaurants are great; been to all of them. Bazaar is at the Waldorf Astoria and is pricey, but it has great atmosphere and is in the historic Old Post Office Building. It’s close to the National and Warner Theaters so easy to make an evening of their time in DC. Minibar is consistently one of the best in DC. Are they foodies? Are they familiar with DC? Others on the list would be Pineapples and Pearls, Le Diplomate, Rose’s Luxury, and The Dabney. Can offer more if they’re into a specific cuisine or area of town.

Thanks I got them a gift cert that should be delivered on Christmas Eve. They are "sort of" foodies, in that they both enjoy different types of food but they are not overly picky about it. They have been through a lot this year due to some medical issues my SIL is suffering through and it's really an opportunity for them to get out on the town and enjoy a nice meal.

Thanks for the tips and info.
