Only in Kentucky do you win a bottle whiskey in lieu of a cash prize.
Here's a fun fact. Kentucky can trace its Bourbon history back to Western PA and the Whiskey Rebellion (1791 - 1994). Many of those distillers were displaced Western Pennsylvanians. Some fled when Washington sent in 12,000 troops. So that the Kentucky Bourbon industry owes its origins to Pennsylvanians.
BTW, the Whiskey Rebellion marked the first time the U.S. Government used troops against its citizenry. Being a distiller himself Washington was sympathetic, and thereby pardoned rebellion leaders from certain death. 'A man's got to be able to make a living'. That sort of thing.
