Florida coach lost a chance to win that game if he would have bunted the runner over with no outs - that guy would have scored on the hit up the middle - game would have been over

Florida can’t get key hit
Forgot how much I despise Jack Legg.
Didn’t realize he was now coaching at Clemson again as asst. He just got tossed from game

Guess the two coaches got thrown out just for being dbags because evidently there was no penalty on the play to protest so go figure.

Bush league protest by the tater coach and the way Darden looked at and talked smack to the Gator bench after the strikeout to end the 12th inning makes it even sweeter that he’s the one that got racked to lose the game. It’s always sweet to see people act so amateurish like that and then get it handed back to them

Yeah but we get a new coach. Taters still have dbags.
That was dumb by those 2. There was no ruling on the "celebration" by the batter for the HR, not ejected is what I mean. Was a warning issued that pissed them off? You could read Jacklegg's lips cussing the umps.

Does the player, coaches penalties carry over to next season? Each were to miss the next game due to the ejections but not sure since it was the tournament.

I read one article (don't recall the source) that they do indeed carry over - at least this article specifically mentioned it for the player - so, if true, he'll miss their first game next season.

That's what blew my mind. When it was all said and done, the whole ordeal looked pretty stupid. You would have thought by the way the two acted that the umps were gonna say the run doesn't count or something. Lol. ... then nothing. Meanwhile... bye bye coaches. See you next year. Hilarious

The objective was obviously to fire up the crowd and their team.
Backfired. Fired up the wrong team.
Should have quietly taken the run and hoped for a 3 and out in the bottom of the inning and walk away a winner.

The way it kinda looked to me was Legette was the first one out the dugout and said some nasty things to the home plate ump while impersonating a HC. Among other things he said it was a "b*** s*** call". Go figure what the call was that warranted no penalty. I'm guessing he was thrown out pretty quick. That said, I guess the real HC could not be outdone... seemed a little reluctant to get booted at first but I'd be willing to bet he felt he had to. Comical stuff

What made this sweeter for me is CU makes a great catch to save the game but it is made irrelevant by UF in the end

Bakich left first, right when the umpires got together. At the same time Leggett is yelling at the umps. They ask him to pipe down and tell Bakich to return to the dugout while they discuss. Leggett keeps going and they toss him. In not so kind words his point was to let them play, which in this game I honestly agree with but not coming from an assistant. Meanwhile Bakich is between the dugout and foul line raising his arms to the crowd to get them stirred up. The umps saw that as unsportsmanlike considering the instances already in the game and tossed him.

After each was tossed they continued, gaining them 2 game suspensions. That was the chief umpires account in a statement today.
