The Gamecocks were looking like they were starting to wilt a little early in the 2nd half, but then there was some chippiness between Maryland's Bri McDaniel and our Kierra Fletcher, with some face-to-face verbal action that resulted in dual technicals for both players. That seemed to ignite the Gamecocks a bit, who promptly went on a 8-0 run or something like that, and the score was no longer in doubt for the rest of the game after that.....

Maryland was tough and this was a really nice victory in spite of some things not going that well. Amihere was impressive to me and Kamala seems to have upped her game. Aliyah, Zia, and Beal hitting some shots was encouraging. Twenty five points on the road is impressive to me. Kudos to the Maryland transfer I think from Princeton. I remember her from last year and she can pop. I thought Maryland was a tough team physically but they were not tough and physical as the Gamecock’s. Great win!
