The team is just obviously poorly coached and there really doesn't seem any hope Beamer can figure it out. This is a 4th year product.

It appears so. Same…fan for over 40 years. Have seen the positive in a lot of situations that I shouldn’t have. I knew instantly that Beamer was the wrong choice. Great, positive guy….terrible placement for a job like this. I feel like it’s a much worse job now that he’s had it. We continue to go in the wrong direction in football under Tanner.

Yeah/ citadel in 90 and there’s been several. I’m still upset about app state even though I should’ve seen it coming. But this is pretty bad. Not a specialized offense or any kind of unusual situation. We ought to be better than them in everything….and it appears we are worse than them in about everything…..and we are playing at home.

I was there. In 98, going to games was purely a social occasion. No expectation of winning at all. We were worse than this team if you can believe that. In 99, Holtz had been hired, we played really well on the road against NC State in a hurricane to start the season, and the rest of the way it felt like we were going to steal one, we were usually in the game. Better team than 98 for sure, but worse record.

Yes. Those games you mentioned were bad too. I’m afraid Beamer is just over his head. We have the money. Why can’t we find an experienced coach? There are a lot of great young coaches in the group of five who would probably come to Columbia.
Anyway, I think Beamer will be gone after this year.

In over his head is the perfect assessment. Nice guy. Amiable. Affable. Terrible head coach.
