6 wins and a chance at 7 with another bowl game would be a huge season considering where we were 3 weeks ago. A loss and we will have a season where we didn't have a single quality win and fell flat at home to our biggest rival. Clemson is not that good this season. UNC gave them all they wanted for over a half and Clemson didn't look dominant. They have losses to teams that aren't great.

2 in a row against them would be bigger than big. It would signal a shift in the power balance of football in the state. This could be the biggest Carolina/Clemson game in quite a while considering what is on the line for us.

A loss and this season is a failure.

A win and we salvaged the season somewhat to a disappointment.

Exactly, we do not have a single quality win this season. Furman, MSState, Jax State, Vandy and a weak UK. If we don't win Saturday, UK will be our "signature" win for the season.

A win against the hated tigers saves the season imo.

Clemson will have to help us out with turnovers and Dabo brain farts. The trick play fart last year helped us out a lot.

Agree, we can’t beat them without help. They are better than us at too many positions. Their defense I feel is way better than Kentucky’s so Rattler will definitely be running for his life again. At least he’s use to that and has figured out how to handle the pressure. Clemson is playing way better than they did early in the season. I don’t like the matchup.

Agree. our offense will have a tough time. Too many times this year we incur dumb penalties when we can’t afford to also.
would love a positive turnover margin but we haven’t shown a great propensity of creating them. Hopefully we can continue to build the momentum exiting the Kentucky matchup.
But it’s a rivalry game and anything can happen, which I fully expect to be the case Saturday night.

Yeah, it really is the game that will define our season. Last year we were playing with house money after beating UT so there really wasn’t any pressure. But we need the Clemson win for all sorts of reasons this year.

Unfortunately, Dabo has them playing their best ball of the season. They will come in on a mission after last year’s game.

We have not had a game this season where we played well enough to beat them with how they are playing now.

Going to be a tall order. Clemson ran the ball well last night. But, our backfield gets beat a lot…

I believe the Trumpster is attending?

I hope I am wrong but I don't see a win happening. They have two great running backs. They can run the ball well and help eliminate QB throwing errors. Their QB was their weakest link in those defeats (IMO). Of late, it seems he too is now running the ball more. Our guy (Williams) got banged up in the game last night and it showed. The announcers also kept mentioning we only have two running backs on scholarship. Without a balanced attack, Rattler and Legette will have a hard time going up against their defense. Other people need to finally step up for this game...just like last year. I know this may sound like a post from a *Clemson fan, but I can assure you I have lived with down seasons at South Carolina before and this year just adds to that list. *Class of 1980 but started following them in 1967.
