Is he a top 100 national player? Quite a get from Bama if that’s the case.
Don't have him until he signs, and then, could always portal. Not trying to be a downer, just a long way to get him locked up. Bama ain't going to lose him lightly.
Georgia and Auburn seem to be the ones hardest after him.
That could be said about any blue chip......I'd rather have him here and now, than the alternative.

#80 overall player in the 247, and #8 overall Dlinemen. As big a get on the Dline as Franklin has gotten in his tenure as an NCAA coach. DDI had a higher pure 247 composite rating, as well as a couple other PSU Dlinemen in the past such as Maurice Evans and Shane Simmons, but this seems to be a very big addition especially pulling such a player from SEC country and a great compliment to DDS and the young Dlinemen on the roster.
His size would lend some here to believe that he is destined to move inside, but I believe I have heard he is a DE all the way.....??? Can anyone confirm or correct this??

In a related story, Nick Saban is complaining that Penn State is "buying" players.
Really hoping James can get back to those 10-11 win seasons. I certainly understand that this is a W-L business. But I am so supportive of the way CJF runs the program that I hope his hard work results in the best (realistic) on the field results.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Everything about him is admirable except the making the same simple in game mistakes (2 min clock mngt, etc…). At times he seems like me and my golf game. Making the same exact mistakes in similar stations over and over and never learning my lesson
Yeah, I don't think what I said constitutes being called a d!ck, but point taken. We haven't had great luck obtaining or keeping kids from the south, but if you want to compete at the highest levels, you start by getting verbals, the point isn't lost on me. He seems like a wonderful prospect.
I really believe this season is the most important of CJF's time @ PSU. PSU needs to go 10-2 or 9-3 in the regular season and I think upset either UM or OSU. If not, this class could fall apart putting PSU further back in the B1G.
Not sure CJF can get away from his fixation on explosive plays and become a team that can impose it's will offensively.

You should go to the Auburn site and read through their thread on this young man... good lord they are a deranged bunch. I get that we have our moments but they are fully delusional. Every once in a while a sane member will come on and explain PSU is a better recruiting and performing program, but the children of the corn will hear none of it. Great stuff actually.
