Firing Lebby ain't happening outside of scandal. Get that out of your head and hope he acts like a HC and finds an actual DC to hire. Hiring Hutzler was Lebby's first major whiff/red flag and has to be fixed asap.

We didn't fire Croom for less and we don't need to fire Lebby. He's doing what he can with the talent he has. Croom ruined an offense to the point I've seen no match. His defense was fair because he had ok talent and the type of offenses run back then. Arkansas today would have beat that team 75 to 0.

And giving said unqualified DC a $4M contract Is a giant red flag at the feet of Selmon. We should not be concerned about a huge buyout when talking about firing Hutzler, but here we are

Croom’s first year was better than this.

This would have been Lebby’s Florida game. Instead he got embarrassed.
Again, no football coach in MSU history has ever had a situation like this. Not even 17ing close. This was going to be a complete rebuild even for Leach, had he still been here. Arnett as HC made it 10 times worse.

If we had tagged somebody else as interim, we might still have Arnett as DC. Keenum imploded everything in just a few days.

Hiring Arnett was the biggest mistake. I know people were saying we needed continuity and keeping the recruiting class together, but it wasn't worth it. We had any number of proven coaches available who would have taken the job and at least have us at 4-4 right now this season, with the bowl streak still alive.

Morningstar, can you reach out to Freeze and see about getting his old phone with some "girls" numbers to have come meet Lebby!

Well, they're guaranteed a starting spot and a big paycheck. We've got the money to overpay for a legitimate player this time.
But why wouldn't they go to an established program that's winning and has money to also pay them?

Firing Lebby is not going to happen and shouldn't. He inherited an impossible situation.

That said, right now he looks like Moorhead 2.0- soft, undisciplined, and fat.

I am sick of showboating, trash talking players, especially when they are 1-7. When has it been a good idea to throw the ball into the stands? When was it not a penalty, maybe 50 years ago? Why has Lebby not put an end to the trash talk and showboating?

The players supposedly love him. You know why? Because he is SOFT.

Got to over pay and get guys that are contributors on teams but not starting as well. Got to hire a proven DC with a track record.

If I was a young talented defensive player I would gladly come into an easy starting spot here for a decent paycheck. Not winning in sports never bothered me as much as a loser mentality. Lebby doesn't have a loser mentality and that's why I think players will likely be ok coming here.

staff is expecting too much from the "wrong" people. In other words It ain't gonna work with these players! But I'll go one step further. I'll compare State's Football situation Dallas Cowboys situation. State could offer Nick Saban $20,000,000 to turn things around and he would turn it down because of our Administrations Loser Mentality! But keep hiring those Coordinators to lead a bottom feeder SEC program!!!

Need schemes that can work with three star players, some schemes only function with five star players. That should be looked at when hiring a HC or coordinator.
