He's a good player. We need good players. He would've been our 2nd leading WR with the stats he put in that anemic offense. Just to level set everyone on the quality depth of our WR room, X had 1,255 yards. Our next receiver was Knox with 312 yards. I don't know if I've ever seen that level of disparity here. Even in those years where we had Fay-roh and Deebo as our only legit options, the drop on from 1 to 2 wasn't near that dramatic. Yeah, it would have looked much better with Juice and X as 1 and 2. But next year we're not going to have either.
Bottom line, we're not in any position to pass on good players that want to come here.
Agree. Guy is also one of the fastest players in the SEC (aside from Harbor).I don't know if he's good or not. Too hard to tell coming from Vandy. I certainly don't think he's worse than anyone we're losing, outside of Legette.
I like that. I hope he's better than what he appears on surface....because if we are trading out players with Vandy a whole bunch....then we need to join another conference. Unsustainable.Agree. Guy is also one of the fastest players in the SEC (aside from Harbor).
Well, just to prepare you, we're also in on another one of their WRs Sheppard. Both of those guys are better than anybody we have returning.I like that. Exactly. Probably not going to have an All SEC type WR...but should have a solid group of guys that can catch, run routes, and have great speed. I'd be surprised if it's only those two though, so who knows how it shakes out.I saw about Sheppard.
Between this and our Ivy League offers, we should at least boost the team GPA.
I guess we have to balance expectations of who we'd like to get with the reality of who is attainable.
But, really, we don't have to have an Antwane or XL to be successful at the WR position. Can you run your routes and catch the ball?

Vandy doesn’t have a defense, and no running game, OL is very bad. But they have a couple of good WRs. That’s about it.Looks like Sheppard is coming for a visit as well.
I don't know, but it seems like a risky strategy to replace our WRs with the WRs from one of the worst P5 teams in the nation. Our fans talk trash about Vandy all season but now we're trying to convince ourselves they actually have really good players.
Vandy receivers weren’t their problem.Looks like Sheppard is coming for a visit as well.

So, they're just about like us?Vandy doesn’t have a defense, and no running game, OL is very bad. But they have a couple of good WRs. That’s about it.
Sheppard > BlakeIf he suits up and contributes in more than 1 game, then he'll be an upgrade from Wells who took the money and ran.
