We were 51% from the field, 31% from 3

We won the steals, turnover battle and the offensive rebound battle.

Stop with all the facts and the idea that the opposition might want to win and have guys who also shoot hoops.

Yup, I'm happy with the win...are you happy with Furman 54% and 52%? be honest. None of these guys came up to our nut sacks and we're + 6 on RB's? I'm way more excited about our 67 FT %.

Our perimeter defense is ATROCIOUS. Inversion is a less than stellar defender. How is he so quick and good on offense but gets destroyed by every team we play in half court D? That dude LIT HIS *** UP all game long and basically played physical with him on our end of the court. We had to put DJ Jefferies on Hunter to slow him down. Who would’ve thought that was going to work but it did.

Thankfully one of their best 3 point shooters missed a WIDE OPEN 3 in the corner late that would’ve put us down 1 with little time left or we would probably be 7-4 right now.

This team has talent, but damn they are frustrating. Another 5 minute drought with no points in this one. EVERY GAME we do that at least once. This one was on DJ trying to do way too much by himself. But he thankfully redeemed himself the rest of the game after that and had a huge hand in getting the W. We have to get Cam’s leg back 100 percent healthy bc he just makes good things happen. SEC schedule may be brutal to us if we don’t play to our talent level. We damn sure aren’t doing that now

I'm always amused by the "what if" game. Well, "if" Molinar (90+% ft shooter) and Jeffries (80% ft shooter) made a FT, that 3 wouldn't have beaten us. What's more likely the missed FTs or a 3 from a guy that shoots them in the 40%'s? Doesn't matter bc none of those things happened, and we won

We still haven't gotten 2 of our better pieces fully healthy.

^^^^This!!!^^^^
There is constant criticism of this team by people who make no mention that Smith is not in the lineup. Smith is option a or b every time down the floor. He makes an enormous difference and he's only played in four games.

And we still have gawdawful perimeter defense.

I certainly think we need to defend the perimeter better, but we've faced some damn good 3-pt shooting teams the last 2 games.

Co st: 2nd nationally 3-pt fg %

Furman: 16th nationally 3-pt fg %

Furman is 4th nationally in 3-pt shoots made
