If the team feels anything like we do this will be a trap game for sure. I think it already is. I hope we come out to play. They've always had a good low tier program. We need to take care of business, or we will be...hell I don't know where we will be. It won't be good though.

Bowling Green is 8-24 since 2016 and has one of the worst defenses in the country. This isn’t the same program that gave us a scare in 2013 with Dave Clawson as their coach.

Maybe we don’t cover the 30 point spread but I’ll be surprised if this isn’t a comfortable win for us. And either way I don’t think you can take a ton away from this game unless the unthinkable happens. Ugly win or blowout win, the A&M and Arkansas games are still both winnable and very important.

Wait a second. In 2013 bowling green gave us a scare?
With Dan Mullen as the head coach?
The year before arguably our greatest year ever?

Bet this board was a melt down!

We need to be focusing on Bowling Green for sure! We can’t afford to look forward to A&M. Let’s all concentrate and lock in!!

They beat Marshall last week.

That's actually probably bad for them. Marshall lose because they beat ND. You know they were not focus last week in practice. Same thing will happen to BG this weeks.

We will win 52-17

Rodgers will throw for over 400 yards and 5 TD’s. After Saturday he will continue be #1 in the nation in completions per game, and also take the #1 spot for TD passes.

IMHO, getting Robertson some PT is the most important factor in this game (other than winning, of course); if we don't put this game away early and Leach plays Rogers for 4 quarters, then this week will very sadly a golden opportunity wasted. Just sayin . . . . . . .

We need to get over this obsession with Sawyer Robertson. When it makes sense for him to get snaps, he'll get snaps. But Will Rogers is our QB and he's going to be our QB for 2 more years. I don't know that snaps in garbage time makes that much difference in a player's development anyway.

Wanting the backup quarterback to get a shot is a State fan tradition...

on par with the cowbell. We can't help ourselves - we are genetically programed to assume the guy on the bench is better.

Because what a bunch of middle-age guys (myself included) gripe about on a message board has a direct effect on the players' and coaches' focus.***

I can’t agree with this more. Quit worrying about padding conference and national stats for attention or whatever, and rather be looking ahead and get your possible future so quality PT.

I had forgotten about the 'Mullen Malaise' where we didn't score in the fourth quarter in 6 games that season.

Why does it have to be “garbage time”? From all accounts the qb competition wasn’t that far apart heading into the first game. For those that argue that it was, the only real reason is because Will knows the offense more especially having played in it some what in high school. He’s had a tremendous head start when it comes to the knowledge of it. Other than that he is by far the lesser talent. It is what it is.

No that is funny. There may be some username changes but it's pretty much the same arguments that we've had for the past week. I plan on having fun Saturday morning while some of you guys work on your ulcers.

It's so easy to forget the times that Mullen **** the bed. That's the way the past is sometime we fondly remember some **** a hell of a lot better than it was. One thing keeps running through those post in today's post and has never changed

What accounts? There was never even a competition, much less a close one. Rogers is our best QB and that's the fact. If that changes, Leach will make a change. But until then, we have to play the best we've got (I just wish we'd do that more at other positions besides QB).
