rotation.

I know that some teams- like the Cardinals- have two pitchers assigned as a tandem to start a game. The idea is the first guy will throw the first four, and then the next guy will throw three or four. I think they alternate their starts in the minors the next time around the rotation. They do it in the minors to get their pitcher "experience" starting and coming in relief.

With our injuries, guys like Crosswhite just don't have the endurance to go 7-8 innings. Plus others just haven't gotten the job done, and I think this would take some pressure off of them.

So, here's what we SHOULD do.

Fri.- Crosswhite 1-4, Bowen 5-7
Sat.- Pigott 1-4, Swindle 5-7
Sun.- Lalor as long as possible.

Long relief- Carver, Wilson
Middle relief- Whitney, Moore, and Busby.
Closer- Weatherford.

And no, this isn't in Polk's book.
