Was watching the Olympic track and field trials earlier today. Former Bulldog Curtis Thompson easily won the Javelin to make his 2nd Olympic team.

Since the US hasn't medalled in javelin in 50 years, that's probably the height of his season, but nothing wrong with national championships.

I have a friend who has son on the track team and according to him, we have another kid throwing the javelin in addition to Curtis who just earned his second First Team All American honors as well as a kid that finished second in the decathlon at the NCAA championships.

The MHSAA doesnt allow for javelin in high school.

Add that to the ineptitude list of the MHSAA.
