Except that their roster was depleted as well. Stop making excuses. Rattler is not Mr All World everyone thinks he is. Threw some bad balls he was lucky they didn’t pick.

It would’ve been nice to win. Both teams lost some key players. The games always mean something. Would’ve been nice to add a Gator Bowl trophy, especially since we haven’t played in Jacksonville since 87. But not going to get super pissed.

Definitely hope our guys that opted out realized they really hurt this team. It was obvious defensively down the stretch. Some guys that stepped in made some key plays. We were outmatched though. Offense didn’t play nearly good enough.

Ours is as depleted at some key spots that showed up later in the game. That said, I do agree that Rattler is not all world. I do think he is solid but replaceable.

Dudes played hard, which is a huge compliment. I saw someone complaining about the short passes, however when we got away from them and started looking to stretch the field, we lost our rhythm. Rattler performs best when he can get it out quick. Then pick your spots to stretch the field. He made some piss poor throws, but he isn’t why we lost.

D played about as well as they could considering he defections. Lots of guys not used to having to compete for that long and showed in the second half.

Kudos to the older guys who stuck it out to finish the season.

They had two nfl guys sit out….qb transfers but he wasnt the starter at first of year until qb tonight got hurt. So thats a wash. So yeah, we were more depleted.

Don't want to go back to our "moral victory" days, but I think the team played well. I think it showed recruits and the rest of the country that the last 2 games weren't a fluke, but may have just taken sometime to figure it out early in the season. I really hoped we'd won to end the year ranked, but at least this wasn't a UGA, Mizzou or UF repeat. The team looked like they showed up to play.

ND had the same issue. We just didn't have as much flexibility and depth as they did. We will get there.
Yea...without those that transferred, we may have struggled to beat UTen and likely lost to CU.

And we desperately need a power back like Kevin Harris.

Great effort by the team and staff - we got worn down. Didn’t have the depth or the big uglies that have. Throw in some questionable calls that all seemed to go against us. Glad the guy in the white hat is retiring- he needs to.

Believe what makes you feel better. QB hadn’t played in 3 months and threw two pick sixes. Difference was he didn’t give up and is a leader; wish Rattler had 10% of Connor Shawn’s leadership ability.

I was proud of the effort . We played well and just got beat. We're still in the early stages of the Beamer era. I'm 73 and hope I can hang in there to see how we look in a few years.

No they are preparing for their careers, not getting hurt, and doing what’s best for their LIFE. Nothing wrong with that. Precisely what I would advise my child to do.
They could play one more game. Quit on their team. Selfish. They got insurance for that crap.

We were missing 2starters on DL, OL and Secondary. Not to mention our starting RB, and 3 TEs. But yes, in YOUR world it’s the same as NDs. Add to that 2WRs

You're either a quitter or you're not. Stop encouraging these young athletes to take shortcuts. It's not the right answer. Ever. Word salad away my friend..... you're still gonna be wrong.
Again you don’t get to decide right from wrong. Even if you did it doesn’t change their lives. It’s cute you think your opinion matters. I know mine doesn’t I just happen to agree with how they feel. You can’t make them play. And labeling them as a quitter, they could care less. They will just laugh all the way to the bank.

This Sh%t is getting real old. All this "quitter" stuff started getting worse with Deebo opting out of Belk Bowl who in turn got blamed for 28-0 loss to UVA.

As we improve our recruiting and have better on the field performance, there will be more opt outs and players entering transfer portal. We either accept it or stop following the team.

Deebo didn’t opt out of the Belk Bowl. He quit on his team prior to their 13th & final game of the season. Forever to be known as a quitter.

We were missing our starting running back, no tight ends except 1 who got hurt and didnt play in the second half, our 2 best players in the secondary didnt play, our starting edge rusher didnt play, our best interior defensive lineman didnt play, had to start 3 freshmen in the secondary. So tell me how their roster was depleted like ours?

We are talking about transfer players not ones who opt out for the NFL, we are talking about the traitors who are transferring out to another team. They Quit on the team, you can try to be cute and spin it but its a fact.
