I keep saying it and I could be wrong but those billionaire boosters who give millions to the Texas schools they finger sex them to death. They want to be involved in every aspect. Texas will not fare any better than A&M in the SEC. It was ok when it was the SWC. Mostly Texas schools. they were all in the same boat. SMU will get eaten alive in the ACC. Same issue. I think that is an issue in Arkansas. They should be a lot better than they are. Only P5 school in the State. Several Billionaire alumni. Tyson, Walmart and Jerry Jones. They have money, they are in the SEC and there are plenty of good high school guys in that state to make up an 85-man roster. Even with OU and Ok State close by.

Just like Jerry in Dallas. Arkansas alum putting his hand in the game as GM. Need to hand the reigns to a real football mind and win with America's team and the greatest qb this side of Brady (DAK)!

Agree with just about everything you said except the SMU part. Don't sleep on the OGs of NIL.

Not a huge Jerry as GM fan but since Will McClay has been given the real drafting GM job it's hard to argue with the roster. Now if we could just be in a division like the AFC East was for so many years and get Dak to take a hometown discount ****

That was great. The whole time, I was saying, “money. It’s money. That’s why they should be elite. It’s money.” And he anticipated that everyone was saying that and rejected it at the end. Loved that

Disagree on one thing.

Had a nephew play at Sewanee. Went to Conway to watch him play Hendrix college. Met with a friend for lunch that lived there. He said Arkansas is full of D2 and D3 players but UA could never fill a roster of instate players because the state doesn’t produce enough.

Yep. It’s all about talent. They can lock down the state being the only D1 school, but it’s not a state worth locking down. If Arkansas produced talent that Mississippi does, they’d be like Ohio State.

You could say the same about Tennessee which has always seemed strange to me.

When Majors was there, they were able to recruit nationally and it was before Va tech and UNC got rolling so they were pulling kids out of their backyards as well as some Midwest kids.
