I guess this where we are supposed to say something moronic like "I wish him well except when he plays us"

Nor I, but there are some in the fan base who act like we have kiss the butts of players who tell us to shove it while they go play for our competition.
Not now that they get paid. Absolutely not. I'll still wish a player good luck when they leave because of a coaching change, not able to get enough playing time, etc., but not when you're chasing more money after a university and coach put you in a position to revitalize your career in the first place. It'll be Juice Wells all over again.

Would understand if Kentucky since close to Ohio and home, which is what was told was the reason for transferring. If other two then his reason given to transfer is bull and why you can’t trust what they say. This goes for pretty much all players and coaches. It’s best to just see who is there first of November and when season is over ignore everything until the next Nov 1.

Nobody thinks you have to kiss the players butts. My point is why should the player care what you think. So, tell him to shove it. The world will move forward. The point is we have to get our weight up if we want to retain these players. We can't get mad when programs outspend us and we lose a player. I guess we can get mad, but what will it change.

Kentucky makes sense. They need veteran leadership and will pay $1M for a starting guard.

Loyalty? Apparently today’s athletes no longer know what the word means.

Well, he's apparently heading back to OSU. I hope they have a terrible season and his prospects tank.

Who told us he wanted to get close to home? He didn’t. It would have been easier to take if he had said that in his announcement. Instead…I am doing this for me and my family. Hogwash! $$$

And it's not that I have to wish ill on the player personally. But I can wish him ill for the sake of the game. The data shows that the vast majority of transfers do not work out for the player, but we typically only hear about those that do. Perhaps if there were more visible examples of players who do not improve their draft stock by transferring, there might be less of it.

Graduation rates are also lower for transfers. Much lower.

I had heard from several people and even radio it was a reason. Who knows but thanks for all bold emphatic statement about it 😁
